Yuma High continues tear through region

Yuma High continued its tear through Gila Valley Region play Monday night with a four-game win against rival Kofa on Parents Night, 25-16, 25-18, 19-25, 28-26.

"We made a couple errors in the third and seemed to quit hitting in the fourth game to allow them to stay up, but we were pretty much in control the whole match," Yuma coach Manny Garcia said.

Margie Smith and Malina Montenegro helped the Criminals win games 1 and 2 from behind the service line, Montenegro racking up three aces.

Christine Barry had eight kills, as did Magalay Gallegos, who added six aces
