Player to watch: Mills is starting to develop into a fierce power hitter and is a threat as the cleanup hitter.

Coach Denise Lindeman's comments: "There's a definite lack of experience around here, but there are some great kids to work with. We should really get things going as the season goes on."

The lowdown: Lindeman, also the school's interim AD, likes the way the team is shaping up, although fears that eligibility may become an issue. That aside, the team has a 22-game schedule this year and hopes to be much more competitive. Only five players are back from last year's squad.
