YC girls win 3-way

Kofa's Laura Eldrige and Ricardo Valdez won the girls and boys races in a three-way meet that also included San Luis and Yuma Catholic Wednesday in San Luis.
But the YC girls went on to edge Kofa in team results 25 to 31. Kofa did not have No. 1 runner Stephanie Ledgerwood.
Kofa ran away with the boys race 17 to YC's 44.
San Luis did not field a full team on either side but did have the second place finisher on the boys side in Fernando Garcia (18:43), and on the girls side, Alma Contreras placed sixth.
For YC, Devon Graham took second in the girls race and Sarah Wentling placed third. Alyosha Sandigo placed fifth in the boys race. Kofa had the top four finishers.
