Yuma ran right through Gila Ridge in Game 1 before slumping a bit Thursday night in their three-game sweep at the Palace on Prison Hill, 25-6, 25-20, 25-21.

"0nce you're not getting the reaction you want from your game, you're just going to adjust to their game," Yuma coach Manny Garcia said. "It really wasn't anything that concerned us at any time although a couple time they were a point or so ahead of us."

Margie Smith had three aces while the Criminals scored 16 points on her serve.

"She was very consistent and overall did an outstanding job setting and serving," Garcia said.

Magaly Gallegos had seven kills and Danielle Pelroy added five more.
