SEMIFINALS
SAN PASQUAL
103 - Greg Delgado advanced via 6-4 decision over Mogollon's Betten Stevens. Delgado trailed 4-2 entering the final period. He secured the victory with a cradle that led to 3 back points. He faces Paul Collins of Wilcox in the final.
112 - Julio Saldana advanced via 9-3 decision over DeAngelo Johnson of Canyon State. Saldana led for much of the match, trailing for a moment 3-2 after being taken down in the early stages of the second period. He took control by scoring seven straight points - escape, takedown, 2-point nearfall and 2-point nearfall. He faces Camp Verde's Jon Landavaso in the finals - a rematch of the region final of a week ago.
YUMA CATHOLIC
119 - Emilio Mendoza advanced via a 16-1 technical fall over Dan Gaylor of Mogollon. Mendoza was sharp and impressive building leads of 5-0 and 14-1 after the first and second periods, respectively. He faces Avelino Estrada of Hayden in the final - a rematch of last year's semifinal won by eventual champion Estrada.
152 - Alyosha Sandigo advanced via a 4-2 decision over Tombstone's Daniel Dotson. After two dominating victories to reach the semis, Sandigo was pushed by Dotson, who led 1-0 after an escape early in the second period. Sandigo took a 2-1 lead with a takedown and moved on with a reversal from the down position in the third period with under a minute to go. He faces Jacob Wolfe of Camp Verde in the final - also a rematch of the region final of two weeks ago.
215 - Nick Waterford was pinned by Benson's Luke Boardman with 15 seconds to go in the first period. Boardman, a senior who is unbeaten this season, used his experience to turn a 2-1 deficit into a fall. Waterford, a sophomore, was making his first semifinal appearance. He drops down to the consolation medal round where he can finish no worse than sixth.
ANTELOPE
215 - Etien Orozco advanced via a decision over Steven Madrid of Mogollon. Another classic wrestling clinic by Orozco, who does just enough to get by. Orozco returns to the final for the second straight year hoping to come out on top this time around. He faces Luke Boardman of Benson in the final.
