Kofa girls edge Highland
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Kofa girls golf team edged Highland by six strokes to win a three-way that also included Yuma High on Wednesday at Cocopah Golf Course.
The Kings fired a 239 to Highland's 245. Highland's Shelby Phillips was the medalist with a 37.
The match was tied after taking the first four golfer's scores on each team between Kofa and Highland. The fifth golfer proved to be the tiebreaker as Kofa's Amy Gonzalez shot a 52 to give the Kings the win. Cera Ford carded a 43 for the Kings, while Taylor Thomas shot a 46, Amanda Garcia a 47 and Alyssa Slade a 51.
Kayla Roberts shot a 54 for the Criminals, while Aubrey Packer carded a 56.
