Comments 0 | Recommend 0

After two close games, Yuma High rolled in the third in a 26-24, 25-21, 25-11 sweep of Gila Ridge to expand its first-place lead in the Gila Valley Region.

Christine Barry had six kills and two aces for the Criminals (16-2, 10-1), and Magaly Gallegos added 11 kills.

Torry Banta had five kills and Erin Ridout had 15 digs for Gila Ridge, which plays for the fourth time in four days today.

"We just wore down that third game," Gila Ridge coach Jack Sohnleitner said. "In those first two games we gave them everything they wanted."
