Cibola defeated Yuma High 5-4 on Tuesday to improve to 2-1 in the Gila Valley Region.

 The Raiders (4-4 AIA) took control by winning four of six in singles. Albert Castro and Louis Franco secured the victory with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

 Tyler Franklin and Jordan White won 9-7 at No. 2 doubles for Yuma High (2-4 AIA, 1-1 Gila Valley). Teammates Aaron Neidiffer and Kitaro Joshimoto won 8-4 at third doubles.

 Castro won 6-0, 6-0 in singles at No. 1 followed by Franco with a 6-2, 6-2 win and Blake Boyer with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Joey Jimenez won 6-1, 7-5 at fifth singles.

 Yuma High's Franklin Sahloff won 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-5) and 16-14 at No. 4 singles and Joshimoto won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
