Cibola boys, Havasu girls win Cibola Invite

The Cibola boys cross country team had five runners place in the top 10 at the Cibola Invite for a first-place finish Saturday.

Ryan Norton paced the Raiders with a second-place finish overall followed by Jose Guerrero (third), Richard Clayton (sixth), Jose Ramirez (seventh) and Josh Lopez (ninth).

Rounding out the top three for the boys race were Brawley (second) and Gila Ridge (third). Brawley's Leo Banales won the race with a time of 16:01 - 37 seconds faster than Cibola's Norton.

The Cibola girls finished third behind Lake Havasu (first) and Brawley (second). The Raiders' highest finish went to Monica Huston, who placed third with a time of 21:34. Chelsea Madsen and Jelly Avila placed 12th and 13th respectively for Cibola.
