Yuma boys jump past Centennial

 The Yuma High jumpers on the boys' side helped the Crims to a 85-47 win over Peoria-Centennial on Monday at Carver Park.

 The Criminals swept both the long and triple jumps to secure the win. Steven Rojano, J.C. Baker and Quincy Young swept the long, with Young, Rojano and Lawrence Odum taking the points in the triple.

 Rojano also won gold in the high jump, clearing 6-feet.

 Gabe Torregrosa also helped with the points, winning first four times. In addition to the 3,200-meter relay and the 1,600 relay, he won individual golds in the 1,600 (4:40) and the 3,200 (10:29) as well.

 Cesar Villegas was on both relay teams with Torregrosa, and won the 800 in 2:07. Maurico Town also won two golds, sweeping the hurdles.

 Aisha Abedi had a pair of wins for the girls, who lost 81-41. She won the high jump (4-10) and the triple jump (31-8).
