Brawley took the first five places in the boys race to defeat the Shamrocks 15 to 42, and took the first six places in the girls' race to win 15 to 47.

Alyosha Sandigo was the top YC boys runner finishing the shortened 2-mile course in sixth place at 13:13. Joseph Schaff came in at 13:48 and Daniel Sauter finished at 14:28.

"They're a very good team," YC coach Ralph Farr said of Brawley. "They're easily one of the best out of the Imperial Valley."

On the girls side, Devon Graham placed seventh for YC at 15:25, Rachel Harmon (8th) 15:45 and Samantha Barczynski took ninth at 16:11.
