Cibola outclocks Yuma Catholic

Cibola's Jose Guerrero and Letty Gonzalez each claimed medalist honors for the Raiders in their dual meet wins against Yuma Catholic. The Raiders' boys team won 47-15 and the girls team won 40-21.
Karen Montes placed second for the Raiders with a time of 23 minutes, 3 seconds on the 3.1 mile course at Cocopah resort. Yuma Catholic's Samantha Barczynski and Jackie Hill tied for third (23:14) and Cibola's Autumn Amidon finished fifth (23:39).
Cibola's Jose Ramirez clocked a 17:42 to finish second in the boy's race. Ezalen Fernandez finished third (18:04), Alonso Perez finished fourth (18:23) and Miguel Alastra fifth (18:29). Yuma Catholic's Michael Aguibara was sixth with a time of 18:59.
