Criminals head into region tourney with victory

Yuma High rebounded from Monday's loss to Cibola with a 25-8, 25-21 and 25-19 defeat of San Luis on Tuesday to end the Gila Valley Region's regular season.
The Criminals (15-3, 10-2) were led by Magaly Gallegos, Victoria Berry and Danielle Pelroy with six kills each. Margie Smith served three aces. Molina Montenegro had seven digs.
The Criminals will be the No. 1 seed in the Gila Valley Region tournament, which begins Saturday morning at Yuma High.
