Crims, Hawks win San Luis meet
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Yuma High boys cross country teams and Gila Ridge girls teams won Thursday's three-school meet in San Luis.
Each team had a top-3 finisher in the boys race, led by Yuma's Gabe Torregrosa with a time of 16 minutes, 16 seconds. Gila Ridge's Josh Segura was second (16:27) and San Luis' Fernando Garcia was third (16:38). The Criminals were wll ahead in the team competition, tallying 23 points to the Hawks' 52 and the Sidewinders' 65.
Other San Luis runners were Fernando Gudino (18:48) in 12th place, Levin Atondo (19:00), Eduardo Arellano (22:18) and Raul Luzanilla (27:12).
In the girls race, Gila Ridge went 1-2-3 behind top finisher Alyssa Segura (23:20) to win the girls race with 23 points. The Criminals' top runner was Nadia Salinas (23:39) in fourth. San Luis did not have any runners.
