Last week: Kofa lost to Yuma High 34-20; San Luis lost to Cibola 63-0.
Records: Kings (3-6 overall, 2-2 region); Sidewinders (0-9, 0-4)
Players to watch: Kofa RB Timmy Lee ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to the Criminals last week. ... San Luis RB Daniel Slusher is questionable to play, meaning a big game is necessary from RB Hugo Bacerra.
Kofa coach Kevin Moore's comments: "We talked to the seniors about how this is the last time they play football for Kofa, and for a lot of kids their careers end after this game and they should try to go out on a high note. When they played football as little kids, they played it because it was fun. Hopefully they'll have fun Friday."
San Luis coach Fernando Solano's comments: "Most of all we have to come out fired up. We have nothing to lose and the kids are really pumped up. They've been hungry just to score points this year, and they're even more hungry to win."
The lowdown: San Luis has only scored in two games this year - both times putting 21 on the scoreboard - and have been outscored by 61 and 63 points in its last two games, both shutouts. ... After winning the region last year, the Kings will finish third this year win or lose.
