16 Hawks receive all-independent honors

The Gila Ridge High football team placed three players on the All-Independent Region First Team, and 13 others were included on the Second Team and honorable mention list.

Josh Kilgore filled two spots on the First Team as a receiver and a kick returner, compiling more than 600 yards in the Hawks' offense. Offensive lineman Esteban Ruano and linebacker Dylan Freeman, who averaged seven tackles per game, were also First Team selections.

Second Team offensive players were Adam Bratcher, Dontae Gilmore and Mike Pancrazi. Defensively, Justin White, James Kendrick, John Green and Rory Stewart each earned spots, as did punter/kicker Junior Bon. Honorable mentions were Angel Marrero, Joe Ybarra, Corey Semler, Nick Pancrazi and Levi Jones.
