Kofa defeated a defensive-minded Gila Ridge boys soccer team 4-0 at home on Wednesday in a Gila Valley Region matchup.

 The Kings came in as the top-ranked team in the AIA's 5A Division II boys soccer power rankings.

 Kofa (6-1 AIA, 2-1 Gila Valley) scored all of its goals in the second half. Marcos Garcia scored two goals and assisted on two others.

 Jose Ramirez and Angel Figueroa had one goal apiece.
