Rams volleyball lose in playoffs
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Antelope volleyball team's 2A state playoff experience only lasted one match, but the Rams managed to get a game out of Teec Nos Pos - Red Mesa in Peoria Friday night. The Redskins won 25-21, 25-27, 25-20, 25-8.
"They got momentum and we couldn't take it away from them that last game," Antelope coach Anna Delgado said. "It was a good team, and I wasn't' disappointed with my girls at all. It's been a great season."
Mieke Canan led the Rams with 10 kills, six blocks and two aces. Kayla Miradna added eight kills and four blocks, while Andie Guerrero had 18 digs.
"Those first three were all pretty close. The second one could have gone either way, but I think were a lot more aggressive at the net at that point. The other ones we were trying to be a little too careful, and you can't do that against a tough team."
