A night after dropping its Gila Valley Region opener to San Luis, the Yuma High girls basketball team got on the winning track with a 30-26 road victory over Gila Ridge on Wednesday.
Victoria Barry and Desiree McSween led the Criminals (1-7 AIA, 1-1 region) with eight points each.
Yuma High trailed 11-4 after one quarter and 16-12 at the half, but took the lead for good in the final quarter.
Gila Ridge (0-7 AIA, 0-2 region) was led by Chelsea Wallace with 10 points, four steals and four assists and Brook Crist with 15 rebounds, eight blocks and three steals.
